Adding files using drag-and-drop
The simplest way to add files to DocuFreezer is through drag-and-drop. Select the files you want to convert, then click and hold the mouse button while dragging them to the DocuFreezer window's white space (the List of files area). When you release the mouse button, the files will be added to the conversion queue.

After adding files, you can either sort them using the column headers or begin conversion immediately by clicking the Start button. When the conversion finishes, you'll find your output files in the Output folder.
Importing files or folders using the Add files or Add folder button

To add one or more files, click the Add files button and browse for the files you want to convert. You can also add RAR, ZIP, 7ZIP, and other types of archives; the program will convert the files within the added archive(s).

To add an entire folder with files, click the Browse for folder button. You can also specify only certain file formats by changing the *.* macro (e.g., *.doc,*.docx) next to File types to add or use a Custom filter to apply a file mask.
How to import only specific file types from a folder using Custom filter
Sometimes you only need to add specific files, but not all of them. When selecting a folder of documents to add via the Add folder button, you can use "File types to add" or set "Custom filter" settings in the lower part of the window.
File types to add
"File types to add" menu allows you to select a file format from the dropdown list. For example: Microsoft Outlook Office MSG (.msg)
Custom filter (e.g., Invoice*.pdf;*.docx)
"Custom filter" lets you set a file mask filter with the use of commonly used wildcard characters like "*", "?", and/or custom text. The filter masks can be combined – you can enter several masks separated by commas.

Adding folders and RAR, ZIP, or 7ZIP archives to the List of Files
Adding entire folders or archives (RAR, ZIP, etc.) is just as simple as adding regular folders or individual files. You can use drag-and-drop or the Add files / Add folder button to do so.
Adding files directly from Microsoft Outlook
To convert email message files to PDF or other formats, you need to add them to DocuFreezer first. You can import email files by dragging and dropping them onto the DocuFreezer main window, just like any other files. If you try adding emails directly from Outlook, they get automatically imported to the List of files.

Importing a list of files from an Excel spreadsheet
Another way to import multiple files to DocuFreezer is by using a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet must be an Excel file (XLS, XLSX, CSV) with full paths to file destinations. It should contain file paths listed on separate lines below a header named #file. When creating such a file, add full file paths under the #file column and make sure the paths are valid.

Once you have the Excel file ready, save it somewhere on your computer and click the Load list button browse for file and click Open.
Importing a list of files from a TXT file
Like loading from an Excel spreadsheet, you can import a list of files from a plain text file (TXT). This is useful when you already have file paths listed — for example, a list of file destinations created by other software. Simply click the Load list button on the main window to import it into DocuFreezer.
Did you know?
Using only Notepad, you can quickly select files in a Windows folder and create a TXT with their file paths. Each file path will appear on a separate line as on the screenshot below. Here's a step-by-step instruction:
- Open a folder and select all files by pressing Ctrl + A on your keyboard;
- While holding Shift, right-click the files and select Copy as path;
- Now all file paths are saved in the clipboard and can be pasted into Notepad;
- Create a new TXT file in Notepad;
- Paste the file paths into Notepad using Ctrl + V;
- Save the resultant TXT file.

After that, you can simply import this TXT file to DocuFreezer using the Load list button
